I love working in the studio, exploring light, composition and the challenge of capturing something that is more than surface level. If you’d like to get beneath the surface, come on down!

Having some fun revisiting these portraits I made of the 2018 USA Winter Olympic team. It was fun creating these personality portraits and working in conjunction with NBC Olympics and Icow Productions.

I’m having fun going back into the archives. Here’s a few shots from a Civil War reenactment from California shot for Ancestry.com. What an interesting event and these folks take their history seriously!

As a photographer, I have always been most drawn to the portrait. I consider the process a true collaboration with the subject; one that takes both technical expertise, trust and vulnerability. Thanks for working with me, Hailey1

Food Photographer: Salt Lake City, Utah by Nick Sokoloff

As an avid home chef, food is one of my favorite things to photograph. I was recently hired by Subway to photograph the new Signature Protein Bowl for the Midwest region. It was a total blast working in the studio to create these ads…and as a plus, I got to work with the fine folks from The Summit Group in the process!

I was recently contacted by a San Francisco based banking start-up called Varo Money. They wanted to highlight their customer service team, located in Salt Lake City. These are the folks who support a great product and the goal was to introduce and humanize the team for company branding and marketing purposes. I had a great time making these environmental portraits and working with some wonderful people!
